COSTUMES

MEN
Black shoes or boots, black pants or black jeans, long sleeve button down shirt (white, dark red/burgundy, or black), bolo or "Maverick" Tie (a bow tie with two pieces coming down), Black Cowboy Hat, and at least one of the following: black Vest, black duster, black short jacket or frock coat.

WOMEN
You may create a costume based on the description above or you may wear any 1800's period costume with the following colors: primarily colored black, dark red, or burgundy.


BEADS

A local place for Krewe beads is the “Features Bead Barn” located behind Features Costumes building at 3015 West Barcelona Street, 813-835-0200 (just east of MacDill & Barcelona Avenues) and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10a.m. to 5 p.m. (Through the parade season they are open on Mondays.).

The internet has proven to be the best place to find affordable beads. Try searching for "Mardi Gras Beads" on any of the major search engines. A couple of good sites are http://www.toomeys-mardigras.com and http://www.mardigrasoutlet.com. Combine your order with other members to save on shipping.
